Overview
I will be presenting at the upcoming 2019 Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) on “Building A Custom Set of Tools That Bridge the Support Gap to Jamf”. This presentation will be covering our Apple infrastructure history, our road to Jamf Pro including integration, transition and current Jamf Pro infrastructure. Lastly, I will give an overview of our team’s custom tools they have developed & implemented with our Jamf Pro integration.
The 2019 Jamf Nation User Conference will be held this November 12–14, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in the state of Minnesota.

Building A Custom Set of Tools That Bridge the Support Gap to Jamf
Description:
Put into the hands of an experienced & creative administrator, Jamf provides a Swiss Army Knife that allows the Marriott Library at the University of Utah successfully manage its Apple devices & services. In this session, we’ll look at some of the use cases and solutions our department has architected, developed and implemented and shared with others on campus and the greater Mac community. Hear how the team develops frameworks to provide simple automated solutions for complicated workflows or challenges within the environment.
Bio:
Richard Glaser has been doing Apple system administration & integration for more than 25 years in a large heterogeneous research university. He was former Mac OS X Labs & MacEnterprise steering member projects that collaborated with Apple and multiple institutions from education, corporate, and government sector for sharing information and solutions to support Macs in an enterprise. He has presented at multiple conferences including WWDC, MacWorld, and O’Reilly Mac OS X Conferences. His current position is at the University of Utah, Marriott Library, where he is IT Manager over the Client Platform Services teams overseeing Apple, Microsoft, network and other client & server technology infrastructure.
