From Enterprise SSO to Platform SSO and Beyond – Victor H. Vargas, Microsoft

Join this presentation for a deep dive into the General Availability of Platform SSO for macOS with Microsoft Entra ID. This session will explore how Platform SSO extends identity from the app layer to the macOS login window, delivering a more seamless and secure authentication experience for enterprise and higher education environments. Attendees will learn how this evolution builds on the Enterprise SSO plug-in and aligns macOS with Microsoft’s modern identity strategy. Victor will walk through supported authentication methods—including Secure Enclave–backed credentials, password-based sign-in, and smart card authentication—and explain how Platform SSO enables phishing-resistant, device-bound authentication comparable in concept to Windows Hello for Business. The session will also cover deployment considerations with Microsoft Intune, operational insights from early rollouts, and how Platform SSO supports Zero Trust principles across mixed-platform environments.

macOS Platform SSO optimization tool pseudo (P.S.E.U.D.O.) – Kevin White, Macjutsu

pseudo is an open-source macOS Platform SSO optimization tool pseudo (P.S.E.U.D.O.) is designed to improve the Platform Single Sign-On registration experience by guiding users step-by-step through the otherwise optional Platform SSO onboarding process and keeping them on track until they complete it successfully. Built as a single script that leverages community tools like swiftDialog for clear, branded prompts and macOS automation frameworks to foreground the right System Settings panes, pseudo turns Platform SSO registration from a passive capability into an operational workflow that reduces help desk load and improves overall adoption.

Platform SSO Enforcement (of) User Device Onboarding Workflow

In this session, Kevin will walk through the motivation behind pseudo, why Platform SSO registration is critical for modern identity/Conditional Access strategies, and how pseudo helps organizations ensure that users complete registration rather than postpone it until they hit a blocked resource. He’ll also share practical insights around deploying pseudo in real-world macOS fleets, necessary prerequisites like PPPC and swiftDialog, and how pseudo fits into larger compliance and identity initiatives. Whether you’re rolling out Platform SSO with Microsoft Entra ID or another provider, this talk will equip you with actionable guidance to streamline adoption and improve security posture across your macOS environment.
