This presentation will cover Casper Suite’s UI alert window application called jamfHelper. It explores both general and nuanced usage of the program giving examples and explanations. There isn’t much documentation on jamfHelper so this presentation will help fill in the missing holes and show examples of implementations like running notifications on top of the login window and customization.

WiFi Explorer by Adrian Granados

WiFi Explorer is a Mac utility that allows you to scan, monitor, and troubleshoot wireless networks. It gathers configuration and capability information about all the networks it discovers and presents it on an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface. Information includes network name (SSID), BSSID, vendor, channel, band, security configuration, supported data rates, and much more. It supports 802.11b/g/n networks in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, as well as 802.11a/n/ac in the 5 GHz frequency band.

In this presentation Adrian will give a quick introduction to key aspects of 802.11 networks such as band, signal quality and interference, channel overlap, and how you can use WiFi Explorer to assess and troubleshoot wireless networks.
